Dr Duncan McFetridge wanted a fresh look to his existing site and harness the power of the Internet as a way of reaching out and communicating with the people of his electorate.

We had to design the site with a wide audience appeal as there was no defineable category that his web visitors would fit in to. People young and old, retired or working, blue-collar or white collar, studying or job hunting; we had to try and cater for everyone and the feedback that we have received, we succeeded.

The site is built with an Open Source Content Management System (CMS) which allows Duncan and his staff to log in and easily make changes and add content to the website greatly reducing the need for contracting technical assistance to make simple content changes.

• Streaming video via a slick, un-obtrusive pop-up layer

• SPAM prevented feedback forms
